Crypto Quantique selected as finalist in more Elektra Awards categories than any other organisation

Nominated as a finalist in four awards categories.

LONDON, October 8th, 2021 — Crypto Quantique, a specialist in quantum-driven cybersecurity for the internet of things (IoT), has been nominated as a finalist in four categories of the Elektra Awards, more than any other organisation. The company is a finalist in the StartUp of the Year, Semiconductor Product of the Year (Analogue), and IoT Product of the Year categories. In addition, one of its talented young analogue design engineers, Mihai Ciortuz, was chosen as a finalist in the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ category.

The Elektra Awards is the electronics industry’s premier event in the UK. The awards recognise excellent performance and innovation within the global electronics industry. This year’s event takes place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on December 1st.

In addition to being nominated as StartUp of the Year, Crypto Quantique’s quantum driven analogue IP, QDID, was selected as a finalist in the competitive analogue Semiconductor Product of the Year category. QDID exploits quantum effects so that silicon chips can generate their own unique identities and multiple cryptographic keys on demand. It creates a root-of-trust within IoT devices to underpin security. The company’s Q:Architecture, which combines QDID, or any other root-of-trust, with the QuarkLink IoT security management platform, was nominated as the IoT Product of the Year for the way it simplifies secure provisioning, onboarding, and lifetime management of IoT networks at scale.

Crypto Quantique CEO, Shahram Mossayebi, said, “It’s incredible to think that Crypto Quantique should lead the industry in the number of awards categories for which we’ve been selected as finalist, particularly in the prestigious company of many of the world’s leading semiconductor businesses. It’s a real testament to the skills, commitment, and achievements of our talented team.”

About Crypto Quantique

Crypto Quantique has created the world’s most secure end-to-end IoT security platform. At its heart is the world’s first quantum-driven semiconductor hardware IP, called QDID, that generates multiple, unique, unforgeable cryptographic keys for devices manufactured using standard CMOS processes. The keys do not need to be stored and can be used independently by multiple applications on demand. When combined with cryptographic APIs from the company’s universal IoT security platform, QuarkLink, the solution creates a secure bridge between silicon, device, software, and solutions provider.

The company, which is based in London, UK, was co-founded by Dr Shahram Mossayebi (CEO), an expert in cryptosystems, and Dr Patrick Camilleri (VP Research & Innovation), a semiconductor designer with significant experience in complex parallel computer systems.
