Crypto Quantique joins the Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation to inspire better industrial IoT security

AIOTI encourages collaboration between organisations to promote the development and adoption of IoT, edge computing, and related technologies in Europe.

LONDON, October 7th, 2021 — Crypto Quantique, a specialist in quantum-driven cybersecurity for the internet of things (IoT), has become a member of the Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation (AIOTI) to advance industry’s understanding of IoT device security.

AIOTI encourages collaboration between organisations to promote the development and adoption of IoT, edge computing, and related technologies in Europe. It seeks to preserve European values in the deployment of these technologies, including privacy and consumer protection, while driving the cause of European competitiveness through the digital transformation of industry. AIOTI has over 200 global members including academic and government institutions, businesses, and trade bodies.

Crypto Quantique’s complementary products, QDID semiconductor IP and the QuarkLink IoT security platform, solve the problem of achieving industrial IoT security at scale. QDID exploits quantum effects so that silicon chips can generate their own unique identities and multiple cryptographic keys on demand. QuarkLink then enables thousands of these chips, which are at the heart of IoT sensors and other devices, to connect to applications and services in the cloud in just a few seconds, eliminating manual processes that would otherwise take months.

Damir Filipovic, Secretary General of AIOTI, said, “With IoT security being one of the main barriers to widespread adoption of the technology, we’re delighted to welcome the Crypto Quantique team to AIOTI. They are leading the way in security technologies that simplify the delivery of IoT security at scale for industrial enterprises and I’m looking forward to their expertise playing a key role as our IoT ecosystem grows.”

Wayne Godwin, VP of Business Development at Crypto Quantique, added: “There is so much education to be done if IoT security is be deployed economically and effectively at scale in the next few years. Collaborative organisations such as AIOTI do a tremendous job in enabling expertise and knowledge to be shared between all interested parties and we see our membership as an important step in contributing to this effort.”

About Crypto Quantique

Crypto Quantique has created the world’s most secure end-to-end IoT security platform. At its heart is the world’s first quantum-driven semiconductor hardware IP, called QDID, that generates multiple, unique, unforgeable cryptographic keys for devices manufactured using standard CMOS processes. The keys do not need to be stored and can be used independently by multiple applications on demand. When combined with cryptographic APIs from the company’s universal IoT security platform, QuarkLink, the solution creates a secure bridge between silicon, device, software, and solutions provider.

The company, which is based in London, UK, was co-founded by Dr Shahram Mossayebi (CEO), an expert in cryptosystems, and Dr Patrick Camilleri (VP Research & Innovation), a semiconductor designer with significant experience in complex parallel computer systems.
