Innovation in IoT security secures three Elektra Awards for Crypto Quantique

Winner of Start-up Electronics Business of the Year, Semiconductor Product of the Year (Analogue), and Internet-of-Things Product of the Year.

LONDON, December 1st, 2021 — Crypto Quantique, a specialist in quantum-driven cybersecurity for the internet of things (IoT), won three Elektra Awards at a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London earlier this evening. The electronics industry awards are run by Emap, publisher of trade media outlet, Electronics Weekly.

Crypto Quantique carried off trophies for Start-up Electronics Business of the Year for its innovative work in IoT security, Semiconductor Product of the Year (Analogue) for its QDID semiconductor IP, and Internet-of-Things Product of the Year its chip-to-cloud IoT security architecture, Q: Architecture. Q:Architecture combines QDID or any other root-of-trust with the QuarkLink IoT management platform. Crypto Quantique was one of only two companies to secure more than one award at the event.

Those from the Crypto Quantique team that attended the awards with their incredible three trophies!

Crypto Quantique CEO, Shahram Mossayebi, said, “These awards crown an exceptionally successful year for Crypto Quantique. We’ve forged strong partnerships with several leading semiconductor manufacturers, including Macronix, Renesas, and STMicroelectronics, and our team has received accolades from across the industry for its pioneering work in IoT device security. We’ll see widespread deployment of Q:Architecture technologies in 2022 to protect IoT deployments against the growing scourge of cyberattacks.”

Last week, Crypto Quantique received the IET’s E&T Innovation Award for Cyber Security for its quantum-driven hardware IP block, QDID, that generates unique, immutable and unforgeable identities and cryptographic keys on-demand inside silicon chips.

About Crypto Quantique

Crypto Quantique has created the world’s most secure end-to-end IoT security platform. At its heart is the world’s first quantum-driven semiconductor hardware IP, called QDID, that generates multiple, unique, unforgeable cryptographic keys for devices manufactured using standard CMOS processes. The keys do not need to be stored and can be used independently by multiple applications on demand. When combined with cryptographic APIs from the company’s universal IoT security platform, QuarkLink, the solution creates a secure bridge between silicon, device, software, and solutions provider.

The company, which is based in London, UK, was co-founded by Dr Shahram Mossayebi (CEO), an expert in cryptosystems, and Dr Patrick Camilleri (VP Research & Innovation), a semiconductor designer with significant experience in complex parallel computer systems.
